ABC Cares Foundation Adds New Director of Development

Coconut Creek, FL - ABC Cares Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter (ABC FEC), is pleased to announce that Aaron Palazzolo has joined the team as Director of Development. In this role, Palazzolo will work with the community and construction industry to increase awareness and support of this important organization.

Prior to joining ABC Cares, Palazzolo worked as Director of Communications for ABC FEC. He also previously served as Member Experience and Development Manager for the South Florida Manufacturers Association. He received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University.

“Aaron’s experience within ABC FEC will be a huge asset as we look to further expand the services ABC Cares offers the construction industry,” said Peter Dyga, President and CEO of the ABC Cares Foundation. “ABC Cares plays a vital role in connecting those who need help with appropriate resources and care, and we look forward to continuing to execute our goals.”

The primary function of ABC Cares is responding to emergent needs in the construction community by raising money and providing financial assistance to construction workers who have been impacted by tragedies such as injuries, illnesses, and other unforeseen circumstances. ABC Cares also supports the construction industry through community partnerships, advocacy, and scholarships that promote workforce development.

As Director of Development, Palazzolo will spearhead the ABC Mental Health initiative, which will focus on advancing mental wellness in the workforce through a two-pronged approach. The first is to reduce the stigma and increase awareness of mental health resources by promoting well-being within workplaces, and the second is to support employees, their families, and colleagues who need care for mental health or substance use disorder.
